Clarksville’s House of Healing is a program of Healing in the Margins. The aim of Clarksville’s House of Healing is to meet a need in Clarksville’s community—providing safe, affordable, and competent mental health services for all.

  • Every clinician and intern at Clarksville’s House of Healing is trained with advanced tools to help clients heal from trauma, navigate the symptoms of PTSD, and C-PTSD.

  • Our providers work from a framework of “decolonizing therapy”-- making wellness accessible for all members of our society. We strive to make clients feel at home when they walk through our door or log onto a telehealth session. All providers at Clarksville’s House of Healing are trained in cultural competency, ensuring that every client feels safe to do their healing work.

  • Every provider at Clarksville’s House of Healing is trained in LGBTQIA+ competency. It is our priority that members of the LGBTQIA+ community feel safe, seen, and represented in their care.

  • I’m forever grateful for the support that the Therapy Fund provided me. As a Black woman living with an invisible disability, receiving support from a trained and caring practitioner has helped me to process a great deal of trauma that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to process without the funding.

  • The Therapy Fund is an amazing resource for multiply marginalized queer people! I've been going through a really hard time but was not able to afford mental health care. This fund made it possible for me to get support in a critical moment.

  • Before I started coming to our sessions I never believed therapy would help. I was wrong! These sessions helped me connect to a part of myself I didn't even know existed

  • Thank you so much for your support. I was going through an insurmountable hardship at the beginning of these sessions and without the financial support, I know I would not receive the proper care I needed. I am turning a corner in therapy as a result and am on a completely different track than when I started. I cannot thank you enough.

  • As I began navigating the sudden tragic murder of my companion of 19 years, this fund was a starting point to my grief/healing journey. After dealing with the physical, emotional, and mental stress of this tragedy, not having to worry about how I would pay for sessions has been so so helpful.
